Via Bowen en het charmante kustplaatsje Townsville, waar je de camper een dagje achterlaat, steek je per veerboot over naar Magnetic Island. Koala's sport je haast gegarandeerd tijdens een prachtige wandeling over dit eiland.De route brengt je vervolgens naar het groene binnenland: de Atherton Tablelands, een landschap vol watervallen, kratermeren en bossen. Na aankomst in Cairns maak je eerst nog een uitstapje naar Cape Tribulation, waar regenwoud en zee elkaar raken.Op de terugweg naar Cairns passeer je Port Douglas.
